So it's 3am, January 1st 2013.
For some reason I just cannot sleep (maybe all that chocolate I stuffed in my face tonight has something to do with it!). I've been excited all week about the beginning of 2013 coming, because I have so many things planned for this year.
The most exciting thing (and you are all going to think I've completely lost it), is my new "Clean Eating" program. I've been collecting recipes and ingredients for a few weeks now. Planning meals and figuring out how to balance it all so I'm getting the right nutrients...
(hmmm thinkin I sound like a bit of a nerd right now)!
I was truly excited when I realised that clean eating does not mean I can't have treats, it does mean that my treats are home baked, but I usually do that anyways so no difference there.
To celebrate the end of my bad eating habits, I ate a bunch of chocolate. hahaha. My crazy way of saying ta ta bad diet.
When I wake up the clean eating program starts...is it weird that I'm so excited about it...lol
I put on 10 kilos in 2012, (I'm closing my eyes as I type that).
While everything is not about appearance and being skinny....I need to lose it. I don't feel like me at the moment, I feel bloated, tired and crappy. I worry about diabetes and heart attacks. I don't want to feel like that this year. I want to feel good, I want to have some energy and I want to feel comfortable in my skin. I want to buy the clothes that I love, not the clothes that fit me. I want to feel fit.....I do remember that it felt good!
So here's the deal....each Monday I'm going to post my weeks eating plan, and my photo for that week (which is scary to me....I don't do body shots, have you ever seen one of me on this blog????)
I'll post the recipes to the meals that I'm making and let you know what I'm doing to get in shape.

I'm intending on doing much the same - am buying a juicer to help me out too! Have got a load of vitamins - been pretty run down and sick. Had some medication that made me put on weight which I never do and I can't lose it arrrgh - so 2013 is the year - clean, healthy eating! Happy New Year - and hope you got some sleep! X
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting! It's a terrible rut to get into with unhealthy eating...it's easier to eat junk I guess because it all comes pre-packaged. Here's hoping we both feel a lot better and healthier in 2013.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!! I'm a vegan so even though I feel pretty good about health/size/food, etc., I have REALLY fallen off the wagon on meal planning. And man, running errands with a baby every other day is just no fun. So I love the idea of posting the meals for the week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christina. It's certainly not easy to stick with eating well all the time, especially when you have kids to take care of. I actually used to eat well until I had Monkey, then I started looking for the "easy" things to eat.

Thanks for the link Sam and I'm excited to have you along for the journey! I was actually on Pinterest last night popping lots of clean eating yummies into a folder. I think that's why I'm so excited, because I can still have yummy things and they'll be good for me!
