Clean Eating: Week One Plan

(Turkey Meatballs Rye Wraps)

So last week was an interesting one that's for sure. I spent most of the week trying out different recipes, figuring out what I will and won't eat. I've done a lot of research about different foods and diets and what's good and what's not.

I made a huge boo boo and purchased a "meal plan" that was complete rubbish (Ashy Bines) when I got it, (I truly should have done some more homework before buying). But then I ended up finding an amazing website The Gracious Pantry, that offered all the information and recipes I could possibly need for FREE!

Sooooo here's what I'm doing:

I downloaded the My Fitness Pal app onto my phone. It's such a great app and it's free. All I do is enter in the food I've eaten for the day and it lets me know the nutrional value of the food I've eaten and it also counts the calories. You can also enter whole recipes and it calculates the nutrional value of the entire recipe and the portions for you.

So I've been using recipes from the Gracious Pantry, The Healthy Apron, a few other websites and some of my own entries that I've altered along with the My Fitness Pal app so I can monitor the sugar etc in the food. I am well aware that there are a few foods in there that are "technically" not clean eating, such as the Skinny cow ice cream sundae, however it satisfies any sugar cravings I'm having.....also the baked beans, I just love em and they are full of fibre! I honestly couldn't do this if I couldn't have some "normal" foods.

This is the plan that I am following this week.
I have provided links to the recipes I've used from the Gracious Pantry, and my own recipes will appear on another page this week.

I'm drinking water with each of these meals. I've always been big on drinking water and so I'm just continuing with that.

Monday Night Dinner is free in this menu plan because we are eating out that night.

clean eating strawberry oatmeal sundae, turkey meatballs, pancakes, healthy tuna wraps, protein hot chocolate, clean eating banana muesli, clean eating pizza, chocolate chip protein bar, three cheese lasagne, enchiladas, chicken apple salad, chicken kebobs, protein smoothie, tuna casserole, chicken nuggets, beef & garlic meatballs.

Oh, and I was really excited because.....last month (Dec), I started cutting sugars out of my diet just to prepare for the overhaul on my eating habits, and you know what.....I've already lost 5 kilos without even actually trying....so that was an awesome and encouraging start to the week that I just wanted to share with you all.

My starting weight from 1st Jan is 80 kilos - My goal weight is 67 kilos.

Have an awesome week everyone
